Fantasy Bodies

Really interesting analysis of sexual dimorphism in World of Warcraft characters:

Even if you wanted to have a female troll with tusks, you couldn’t. Which seems especially bizarre given that this game is supposed to be all about fantasy, and turning yourself into whatever you want to be.

And don’t get me started on the racial dimorphism.

Cool comment. I would say from my bio:

    1. Yes, even more pronounced sexual dimophism is possible in different species. This is a big possibility. I do think it is generic that the females are always smaller than the males. Not as creative to ape human culture. I like the notion of a female dwarf w/ a beard. Hot!

    2. How about the differences in mice, for example. Can you tell the difference?

    3. The most interesting feature of these creatures is that the male reproductive organs are internal, much like the females. This is not wrong, but it is something to be noted. A big difference than in humans where in this case there is more dimorphism than in the game.
